Fire Fire!

This term our topic is Fire Fire!

In History, the children will be learning about the events of The Great Fire of London.  They will also be learning about the importance of Remembrance Day.

In Geography, the children will be learning about the key geographical features of London.  They will then compare London to their home town of Retford. 

In Art, the children will explore using different materials to weave and create texture.  They will then use these techniques to create a fire collage.  In DT, the children will explore different textiles and use them to design and make a Christmas Decoration. 

In ICT, the children will use Purple Mash to continue developing their ICT skills and will learn about questioning. In Science, the Y2 children will be learning about Everyday Materials. They will learn about the properties of materials and investigate the different uses that materials can have.
